The aim of this 5th Deep Brain Stimulation Regional meeting will be to connect the neurosurgeons and neurologists in the region with great experience and those who are now implementing some of this experience in DBS practice.
Deep brain stimulation has developed during the past 38 years as a remarkable treatment option for several brain disorders. DBS has also evolved significantly during the past decade at University Hospital Dubrava Zagreb (Croatia) as the Referral Centre of the Croatian Ministry of Health for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and in UHC Rijeka on Clinical Neurology Department as the Referral Centre of the Croatian Ministry of Health for advance and invasive methods in treatment of Movement Disorders especially deep brain stimulations. This meeting will provide a state-of-the art coverage of current DBS practice and future directions in this region of Europe and in the world.
