The IUC values sustainable travelling to and from Dubrovnik. We know that a growing
number of the lecturers and participants in our courses do too. We are aware that the
location of Dubrovnik, especially in combination with time constraints, limits alternatives to
air travel. However, we observe too that a significant number of our participants have more
time available or combine their activities at the IUC with other activities in Dubrovnik or in
the region.

We encourage our lecturers and participants, when possible, to use train, bus, or car sharing
for their journey, or for a part of it, instead of traveling by plane. The IUC supports in finding
alternatives. Information on where to find options for sustainable travel you can find

Bus: https://autobusni-kolodvor-dubrovnik.com/en
Train: https://www.hzpp.hr/en
Car Sharing: https://www.blablacar.com/

Participants from outside Croatia that show that they reduced their carbon footprint by using
alternative travel options than flying (train, bus, electric car or car sharing) to come to
Croatia will receive a 50% reduction of their course fee. Participants from Croatia that travel
to Dubrovnik by alternative travel options (train, bus, electric car or car sharing) also will
receive a 50% reduction of their course fee.
