5 | INTERNATIONAL AND COMPARATIVE MARITIME LAW

The Conference will provide the survey of the recent development of international and national regulations in the field of maritime law, which would represent an international co-operation of several Croatian academic institutions that are members of the IUC (University of Zagreb, Adriatic Institute of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, University of Rijeka, and University of Split) with a number of higher education institutions from abroad (University of Bologna, University of Ljubljana, Swansea University, University of Gdansk and the University of Tirana). The scope is to discuss and to compare the legal regulations of different countries and to analyse provisions of the relevant maritime conventions. Speakers will be prominent university professors and other maritime law experts. The Conference is dedicated to interested participants from academia, graduate and postgraduate students, junior researchers, practitioners, law officials from governmental institutions, courts, attorneys, NGOs, etc. The working language is English.
