This paper presents ‘selected images’ of the exceptionally rich and diverse activity of the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik throughout half a century of its existence, as well as institutional power of its academic mission of expanding international dialogues, conceived and founded in the visionary mind of Academician Ivan Supek in the 1970s. The paper highlights some of the programmes whose longevity has significantly contributed to the recognition of the IUC in the global scientific community.
