description:
The first conference on the PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS was successfully held in 2005 at the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik, Croatia, and many more followed every year since. In 2026 (September 7th–11th) we will once again continue this tradition.
We will run a general session, where we welcome contributions in any area of philosophy of language and linguistics, and special book session usually dedicated to a book or manuscript, for which we invite a number of commentators. In 2026, we plan to dedicate part of the conference to Daniel Harris’ book manuscript Human Communication (Oxford University Press).
We are delighted to announce that this year’s Second Dunja Jutronić Memorial Lecture, held in honor of our late co‑organizer and founder of the conference, will be delivered by Michael Devitt.
