We are pleased to announce the launch of a two-day event dedicated to the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Law, to be held in Dubrovnik. This pioneering gathering will bring together PhD students, Master’s students, and postdoctoral researchers, offering them a unique opportunity both to learn from leading experts and to present their own work in this rapidly evolving field. The forum aims to connect researchers from both EU and non-EU European countries, fostering dialogue, exchange of ideas, and collaboration on ongoing projects. By doing so, it positions itself as a first-of-its-kind initiative in this part of Europe. The vision is ambitious: if the inaugural event proves successful, AI and Law in Dubrovnik will grow into an annual forum that convenes the most promising young scholars alongside established experts. The structure of the event ensures a balance between lectures by experienced speakers, panel discussions, and dedicated sessions for participants to present their research. A combination of various forms of presentations is going to ensure that this format will encourage both knowledge-sharing and active engagement among attendees. Participants will join from across Europe and beyond, with a public call for applications to be announced by the organizers. While the event is based on a self-funding principle, organizers will strive to provide a limited number of scholarships. Any additional institutional support—such as from the Inter-University Centre (IUC)—would be highly appreciated. With Dubrovnik as its backdrop, this event is designed to create a vibrant, international space where ideas on AI and law meet, evolve, and inspire future research collaborations.
