Conference description:

This annual international five-day conference is a forum for the presentation and discussion of new research in philosophy of science. Each year's meeting focuses on one out of three main themes (physics, biology, mind sciences), but the organizers welcome papers in other topical areas of philosophy of science too. A session usually consists of a 45-minute paper followed by a 30-minute discussion period; extended lunch and coffee breaks are an important element of the program. The atmosphere is informal and friendly. Whereas most participants are researchers in philosophy of science, the organizers encourage also scientists and scholars in history and social studies of science to participate.

Past and forthcoming themes:

2025   Philosophy of Biology
            History and Philosophy of Science

2026   Philosophy of Physics
            History and Philosophy of Science

2027   Philosophy of the Mind Sciences
            History and Philosophy of Science

The conference venue is the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik. The conference is run in a very informal fashion. We will make up a schedule in advance, and revise as we go. If you arrive you will be fitted in. It is, however, useful to us to know who is likely to participate, so please let one of the organizers know of your intention to come by March, if possible, and give us a title. That way we can get a good idea of what to expect and can plan accordingly.
