Course
description:
This course discusses issues of security and cooperation in South East Europe from both an American and a European perspective. Students will hear lectures from faculty and other lecturers and present their own research chosen in consultation with faculty. This allows for a lively discussion and the opportunity for students to have their work critiqued from a variety of perspectives. The precise topics covered vary with student and faculty interests but generally include issues related to the European Union and NATO in the region as well as broader security concerns such as China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Russian influence.
