5 | PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS

In 2023 (September 4th–8th) we continue to organize a conference on the PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS at the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik, Croatia. The first conference on this subject was successfully run in 2005 and many more followed every year since. Due to Covid-19 we were not able to organize the course for two years but we continued again last year. Selected papers from the conferences are (as per usual) appearing in the Croatian Journal of Philosophy. 

This year we plan to dedicate some part of the course to  to Elmar Unnsteinsson’s book: Talking about, An Intentionalist Theory of Reference (Oxford University Press, 2022).

But, as usual, there is no obligation to present on the topics discussed in the book. Contributions in any area of philosophy of language and linguistics are more than welcome.

Students are expect to fully attend the course and write a paper with one of our course directors or participants given the papers.
