The Central and East European Moot competition (“CEEMC”) was founded in 1995 by the British Law Centre. It simulates a preliminary reference from a fictional EU Member State to the Court of Justice of the European Union (“CJEU”).
Teams of law students from countries across the CEE region compete before a CEEMC Judicial Panel comprising judges, Advocates-General and other experts from: the EU’s courts and institutions; other international and national courts and institutions (inc. the EFTA Surveillance Authority), renowned academics and expert legal practitioners.
This year’s competition takes place on 28-30 April 2023 in Dubrovnik and is hosted by the Inter-University Centre.
Each team has 3 or 4 mooters and a coach.
If you do not yet have a team but wish to register an individual expression of interest, please let us know here. We may be able to help you contact with others in the same position.
If you already have a team, please register your team’s details here.
Places are limited and time-limits apply, so it is recommended to apply as soon as possible. However, even if the registration deadline has expired, please contact us to enquire whether it may still be possible to participate.
