Conference description:

The first Developments and Innovations in Mining (DIM) conference will be held from 15th to 17th October 2025 in IUC. University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering is the leader and innovator in discussing all major Raw Materials-related industries for almost a decade. Thus, several session topics will be held under the four main conference fields: Raw Materials prospection and discoveries, Mining Methods, Geometallurgy, Sustainable Extraction and Materials Recycling and Waste Management. The conference is open to all who wish to bring their academic expertise, industry practice or policy making for the generation of fresh ideas and open dialoge with different stakeholders group around Europe. Session topcs can be submitted until the 1st of April 2025 and have to fit under the mentioned conference fields and invited lectures by order: European Raw Materials sector and its perspective; Challenges of the European Mining Industry; The future of European extraction industries and European recycling challenges and opportunities. Deadline for the full abstract submission is the 1st of June 2025. Participants will be able to share their perspectives not only in classrooms, but also in field trips which itineraries will be submitted until 1st of May. Other side events will be included as well. The conference fees will be in the range of 400 € and 500 € for professionals and 150 € for students in the registrations period from June to October 2025.
