Course description:
This course will explore the history and current trends for a philosophical and scientific foundation of spirituality. Spirituality in broad terms is defined as the real possibility of a dialogue between human beings and the natural world. Our discourse will include exploring spiritual foundations and practices in the various academic fields and professions such as sociology, social work, psychology, biology, veterinary science, chemistry, physics, and others. Our special focus will be on a naturalistic foundation of compassion and community.
