The main aim of the tihs postgraduate course is the promotion of healthy lifestyle and prevention of stroke and to spread knowledge about epidemiology, pathophysiology, prevention,diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation of stroke. Guidelines concerning changing of lifestyle to a healthier one will be discussed. Evaluation of current stroke diagnostic and treatment possibilities in different countries will be presented. Participants will analyze leading stroke risk factors and discuss possible differences in stroke risk factors incidence in their countries. Participants will present common practice in stroke prevention, diagnosis, treatment and tehabilitation in their countries enabling comparison of data from various countries. Recommendations for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation will be presented. Every effort wll be made to change fatalistic and nihilistic approach to stroke.
