Conference description:

In the historic-critical introduction in his philosophy of mythology, Schelling deals with the question of the origin and function of mythology, wherein the current theories are subjected to radical criticism. The fifth-day summer course in Dubrovnik aims to provide a deeper insight into the text in the form of lectures, joint discussion and reading of selected texts. The papers are intended to clarify, in particular, the Schellings' (historical) references to us, which are now closed to us, as well as the argumentative structure of the individual lectures. In addition, papers can also be proposed that go beyond the text stock and introduce related topics in the context of the text. With senior speakers the Course will be attended by advanced students, doctoral students and postdocs.
